Rhiannon Herbert

Senior Associate Attorney

Rhiannon believes job satisfaction is essential to a person’s overall well-being. When job security is threatened, there are a lot of unknowns, and this can be a very stressful time for many people. That’s why Rhiannon believes that frequent communication with her clients is critical throughout the legal process. Rhiannon regularly makes herself available by phone, text, and email, including outside normal business hours.

Rhiannon has quickly become recognized as one the top employment lawyers in Ohio. In fact, she was selected as one of the youngest attorneys to be included on the Ohio Super Lawyers, Rising Stars list for 2023. The list includes only the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state of Ohio, as selected by her peers.

In addition, Rhiannon has been recognized by U.S. News Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for 2023 for her work as an employment attorney in Columbus representing employees.  Similarly, Mansell Law has been recognized as one the Best Law Firms in America by the same publication for the last four years 2020-2023. These recognitions are a direct reflection of Rhiannon’s desire to make an impact on her clients.

As a Columbus Employment Law lawyer, Rhiannon represents clients in a wide range of matters throughout Ohio, including wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Ohio law; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) violations; claims involving discrimination and retaliation based on race, sex, religion, age, and disability; ERISA employee benefits appeals and litigation; and severance and employment contract reviews and negotiations. Rhiannon represents clients in jury trials, arbitrations, unemployment hearings, and hearings and mediations in front of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.

Rhiannon grew up in Mentor, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she studied political science and history and competed on the women’s varsity swim team. During her time at Capital, she received the Pro Bono Spirit Award, recognizing her commitment to ensuring legal resources are accessible to all. Rhiannon has continued to pursue her passion for written and oral advocacy by serving as a volunteer Moot Court coach and brief grader at the high school, collegiate, and law school levels and most recently served as a volunteer coach for Capital University Law School’s moot court team.
